Different coverages address different concerns

Liability
Generally addresses covered harm to other people or their property for which you are responsible.
Collision
Generally addresses covered collision damage to your own vehicle.
Comprehensive
Generally addresses covered non-collision losses, such as theft or certain weather damage.

Policy terms, exclusions, limits and applicable deductibles control what is covered. Ask which deductible applies and whether you could fund it. Legal requirements depend on verified state rules; optional coverage and a lender's contract conditions are separate questions.

Methodology and assumptions

Creates discussion questions from user-supplied circumstances. No limits, premiums or policy recommendations are calculated.

  • Vehicle value and loss budget are user estimates, not a valuation or affordability assessment
  • State requirements appear only from verified, approved, indexable state guides
  • General coverage explanations do not replace actual policy wording

Inputs stay in your browser and are not submitted to an insurer. These results are education, not a quote or individualized policy advice.
