AutoCoverCompass is an independently operated auto insurance education website. We do not sell insurance or provide live insurance quotes.
Authorship and individual accountability
The byline AutoCoverCompass Editorial identifies the publication's editorial function. It does not imply a fictional writing staff, insurance licenses or professional review credentials. The actual site operator is responsible for editorial oversight, final editorial decisions and final publication authority.
Individual accountability must be documented in restricted editorial records. A personal name need not appear on every article; applicable operator and legal disclosure requirements must still be satisfied. Owner-controlled Git signing is established. Published guides require separate signed factual and editorial decisions against their exact versions; signing setup alone does not establish that a source or article was reviewed.
Research, sources and AI assistance
Articles may use AI assistance for research organization and drafting. We prioritize insurance regulator guidance, government resources, relevant policy documents and other verifiable source material. Coverage and legal requirements can differ by insurer, policy and jurisdiction.
Material factual claims must be checked against supporting evidence before publication. Automated source assessments, tests and AI reviews are research aids; they are not human factual verification or editorial approval.
Review of the final version
The responsible operator must personally review and approve the final article version. The publication system requires genuine verified contributor identities, fact-check decisions and editorial approvals tied to an exact content hash. Changing authorship or other covered metadata requires a new hash and renewed review. Uncompleted decisions and dates remain blank.
A single responsible operator may personally perform human factual checking and editorial review, with separate attributable records describing the work actually completed. This is not independent human or specialist review. An independent AI-assisted assessment remains supporting evidence and does not fulfill either human decision.

Corrections and updates
Readers may report a page URL, disputed statement and supporting evidence through our contact channel. The site operator handles reader corrections and privacy requests. Do not send sensitive policy, claim or medical documents.
Material corrections require renewed review; disputed content may be withdrawn while investigated. Publication or access dates alone do not establish that insurance rules or policy terms remain current.
Advertising independence
Advertising and analytics remain disabled. Any future compensation must be disclosed and must not determine factual conclusions. See our advertising disclosure.
Any unfinished policy or operational requirement is identified separately; it must not be treated as complete merely because a technical control exists.
